Event Details

The 2015 Redwood Cup will be held September 30 - October 3rd on the streets surrounding Galt Gardens in Lethbridge, Alberta.

What Your Team Needs to Know

All teams will play a total of six round robin games.  The first four games will be played on Thursday, October 1.  The last two round robin games will be played on Friday, October 2.  Playoff rounds will begin on the afternoon of Friday, October 2nd. 

Once a team loses in the playoffs, they are eliminated from the competition.

We expect that in most divisions, quarterfinals, semi finals, and finals will all be played on Saturday October 3rd.

The Finals

The schedule for all FINALS on Saturday October 3rd is expected to be as follows with all times shown in MST:

Legends / Contenders CoEd / Snipers Division Finals: 12:00 Noon

u17 ('Enforcers') Final: 1:00pm

Media &  Celebrity Game: 2:00pm

u19 ('Grinders') Final: 3:00pm

Elite Women's Final: 4:00pm

Elite Men's Final: 5:00pm

Championship Purse

Elite Men:

Winner: $25,000  Finalist: $10,000  Third Place: $5,000

Elite Women: 

Winner $10,000

u19 ('Grinders'):  

Winner $10,000

u17 ('Enforcers'):

 Winner $10,000

u15 ('Snipers'):

 Winner $10,000

19+ CoEd:

 Winner $10,000

Legends:

Winner $10,000

Total Cash Purse: $100,000.  All winners will also receive championship rings provided by Legend Rings.  Additional prizes will be announced at a later time.

Getting to Lethbridge

Teams are required to make their own flight / car rental arrangements.  More details about flight and rental discounts that may be available will be posted here, should they become available.

Welcome Banquet

Location: Nikka Yuko Japanese Garden (Located on the Corner of 9th Avenue South and Mayor Magrath Drive)

All teams are invited to the Redwood Cup Welcome Banquet! A complimentary Alberta AAA beef dinner will be provided, cash bar and photo ops with the Redwood Cup.  Come prepared to be an ambassador for your community while meeting the Mayor, the organizing team, and your competition while experiencing Alberta's finest hospitality!
